Morse Suite

This room is our new, first-floor suite with a private entrance. It is named after Augustine Morse, a carpenter who owned and worked on the house in 1864. The decor reflects the current owners' interest in Asian influences in decorating, especially Japanese Zen influences. The tones are rich grey and red. The bedspread and sliding door to the spa bath carry a cherry blossom motif. There is a large bow window that lets in much light. This first-floor suite is adjacent to our brick patio. The room has a king-size bed and a private bathroom that has a walk-in spa shower. There are two closets for those who may be staying for more than a few days. For those looking to avoid steps, the Morse Suite can be accessed directly from outside via one step. Access to the porch overlooking Lake Erie requires one step. To enter the main house no more than three steps are required.
