Policies
Barcelona Lakeside Bed & Breakfast is a small historic lodging in Chautauqua County on the shore of Lake Erie at the entrance to Barcelona Harbor and Lighthouse. Pampering our guests is our primary focus. To that end, please take a moment and review our policies listed below:
Check In & Check Out
Check-in time is 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. anything outside that time must be approved and scheduled with no check-ins later than 8:00 P.M. If you arrive any time after 8 p.m. you will be charged a $100 fee for after hours check-in. Please note that you will be charged an additional $100 for each hour you are over. Payment is collected during check-in hours or at check-in.. Check-out time is 11:00 A.M. or earlier. You may request a late check out; however it would have to be approved by the owners, and there would be a $50 fee per hour.
Deposits
Weekends during the year and other high-demand time periods require a two-night minimum stay. Some advance reservations during holidays or peak demand time periods may require a non-refundable $50.00 deposit per room in advance at the time of reservation. If the deposit is not received within 48 hours of the reservation being made, the reservation will be canceled.
All packages require a 50% non-refundable deposit.
Children
Our inn is best-suited for singles or couples and families traveling with children 13 years old and older. As a small, intimate inn, there is no ability to accommodate families with younger children in a family-friendly way. Therefore, children under the age of 13 are not permitted. Each guest room will accommodate a maximum of two people.
Smoking
Barcelona Lakeside Bed & Breakfast is a non-smoking property. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. Guests will be charged a $250 damage fee if smoking occurs on the property and also will be charged the week night rate for the room for any downtime to repair/clean the room.
Cancellations
Our cancellation policies are as follows:
- Peak Season (May-November) Fourteen (14) days’ cancellation notice is required. Cancellations within the 14-day period are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the total stay or one-night charge for room(s) reserved, whichever is greater.
- Off-peak Season (December-April) Seven (7) days’ cancellation notice is required. Cancellations within the 7-day period are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the total stay or one-night charge for room(s) reserved, whichever is greater.
- Shortened stays, same-day cancellations and no-shows will be responsible for the entire cost of the stay reserved. Charges include bad weather or natural reasons for cancellation.
Canceling Add-on Packages and Gift Certificates
All packages will be charged at the time of reservation. Packages that are food related may be canceled 8 days or more from arrival date. If they are canceled within the 7 days prior to arrival, there will be a $30 cancellation fee.
Any other package, non-food related, may be canceled 24 hours prior to arrival. Cancellation within 24 hours of arrival, and the guest will be charged a $30.00 cancellation fee.
Gift certificates are charged at the time of purchase. We cannot refund the purchaser, and the gift certificate is valid to be used. Gift certificate reservations follow all policies that a cash/charge purchase follows.
Payments & Damages
We happily accept cash, personal checks, or the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, most debit cards with the MC or Visa logo.
We also reserve the right to charge guests' credit cards for damage/repairs to rooms/property beyond normal usage.
Lost and Found
Items found in a room, on property, etc., will be held for 30 days and then donated to Goodwill if it is not claimed within that time.
