Barcelona Lakeside Bed and Breakfast is a small historic lodging on the shore of Lake Erie at the entrance to Barcelona Harbor and Lighthouse. Pampering our guests is our primary focus. To that end, please take a moment and review our policies listed below:
Our cancellation policies are as follows:
- Peak Season (May-November) Fourteen (14) days cancellation notice is required. Cancellations within the 14-day period are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the total stay or one night charge for room(s) reserved, whichever is greater. No special circumstances and no exceptions.
- Off-peak Season (December-April) Seven (7) days cancellation notice is required. Cancellations within the 7-day period are subject to a cancellation fee of 50 % of the total stay or one-night charge for room(s) reserved, whichever is greater. No special circumstances and no exceptions.
NOTE: Holidays, holiday weekends, LEWC event weekends, which are the first two weekends in November each year, other special event weekends, and two (2) or more rooms reserved any time of year are subject to the Peak Season cancellation policy.
Shortened stays and no-shows will be responsible for the entire cost of the stay reserved. Charges include bad weather or natural reasons for cancellation. No special circumstances and no exceptions.
Cancelling add-on Packages and Gift Certificates:
All packages will be charged at the time of reservation. Packages that are food related may be cancelled 8 days or more from arrival date. If they are cancelled within the 7 days prior to arrival, there will be a $30 cancellation fee and the remaining amount will be refunded if any. No special circumstances and no exceptions.
Any other package, non-food related, may be cancelled 24 hours prior to arrival. Cancellation within the 24 hours of arrival, and the guest will be charged in full for that package. No special circumstances and no exceptions.
Once a gift certificate is purchased, we are not able to reverse the transaction, in other words, we cannot refund the purchaser and the gift certificate is valid to be used. Gift certificates cannot be given a cash refund on amount not used. Gift certificate reservations follow all policies that a cash/charge purchase follows. No special circumstances and no exceptions.
Check In & Check Out
Check-in time is 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. anything outside that time must be approved and scheduled with no check-ins later than 10:00 P.M. Payment is collected at check-in. Check-out time is 11:00 A.M. or earlier.
Weekends during the year and other high-demand time periods require a two-night minimum stay. Some advance reservations during holidays or peak demand time periods may require a non-refundable $50.00 deposit per room in advance at the time of reservation. If the deposit is not received within 48 hours of the reservation being made, the reservation will be canceled.
All packages will be paid in full but eligible for refund based on cancellation policies. See above.
Our inn is best-suited for singles or couples and families traveling with children 10 years old and older. As a small, intimate inn, there is no ability to accommodate families with younger children in a family-friendly way. Therefore, children under the age of 10 are not permitted. Each guest room will accommodate a maximum of two people. Children under the age of 14 years old are not permitted to be in a room without an adult.
Lost and Found
Items found in room, on property, etc., will be held for 30 days and then donated to Goodwill if it is not claimed within that time.
Lakeside is a non-smoking property. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. Guests will be charged a $250 damage fee if smoking occurs on the property and charged the week night rate for the room for any downtime to repair/clean the room.
Payments & Damages
We happily accept cash or the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, most debit cards with the MC or Visa logo. WE NO LONGER ACCEPT Bed and Breakfast.com gift cards/certificates or personal checks.
We also reserve the right to charge guests' credit cards for damage/repairs to rooms/property beyond normal usage.
