Winter is over, the crocus are blooming, and the vines are getting ready to get going.

May in Lake Erie Wine Country has a lot to offer to the visitor. Did you know that there are over 30,000 acres of vineyards in Lake Erie Wine Country?  This makes it the second largest wine growing area outside of Napa.

Each of the more than 20 wineries offers daily tastings. Some, like Johnson Estate Winery, 21 Brix, Merritt Winery, and Liberty Vineyards have many events to help kick-off the season.

And don’t forget Wine With US Wednesdays at the Grape Discovery Center in Westfield, NY.  Always the best place to begin exploring Lake Erie Wine Country.

If you need a break from all the wineries have to offer you can visit the National Comedy Center or the Lucille Ball Museum in Jamestown, NY (a short drive from Lake Erie Wine Country.
